Hi 180DC Branches,

We have two really important announcements to make:

1. Branch Licensing Agreement and Legal Issues

Our licensing agreement has had a bit of a revamp and we need all branches to sign the new agreement which allows branches to operate under the name of 180 Degrees Consulting. All branch Presidents are required to sign this agreement annually with the 180DC Australian entity. Please have a read through of the entire agreement and feel free to ask any questions through the branch legal channel on Slack if there is something that you’re unsure about before signing it on the Compass platform. You may have already been given an overview by a branch manager but if you have any further questions we will try to respond as quickly as possible.

This agreement enables 180DC to continue to support branches and allows branches to use the 180DC name and materials to conduct consulting projects.

The deadline for signing it is 1st of June, 2017 so please have a look as soon as possible so that we can help you out with any questions as soon as possible.

On another note, 180 has recently been taken on board to receive some pro bono legal assistance, so we’re looking forward to having greater legal support for when branch legal questions arise. In the past few months the GLT legal team has been helping branches with contract questions, negotiating with clients, and helping branches to become incorporated. If your branch has a legal question arise, please feel free to post it on the branch_spt_legal channel so all branches can benefit from the question and answer. 2. Changes to Compass

In an effort to continually support our consulting teams with their work, we have recently made some small changes to Compass.

The changes relate to the project upload screens where consulting teams upload their final project files. We are now requesting that each team selects an “engagement type”, a “client type”, and a “language” that the project was completed in.

These are all in easy-to-use drop-down menus and should only take a few seconds more to complete with every project upload.

Through getting these classifications, we can continue making projects easily searchable in our systems, as well as through our Past Projects Database.
