Welcome to 180 DC Delft-Rotterdam!

We are the first multi-city branch of the world’s largest university-based consultancy, and the world’s leading provider of consulting services for non-profits, social enterprises, and socially-minded organizations.

“Our mission is to help socially conscious organizations across the globe maximize their social impact through the provision of high-quality strategic and operational advisory services, and in doing so empower international talent from Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University Rotterdam to make a tangible social difference.”

We want to close the opportunity gap that forces many social enterprises in The Netherlands and abroad to operate well below their full potential. We strive to provide our socially-minded clients with the same professional, results-oriented, and highly effective consulting services that only larger organizations can afford.

Our mission requires exceptional people. We are committed to fostering an environment that will attract, support, and retain consultants who are exceptionally talented and who possess an unwavering commitment to our organization and its purpose. 180 DC Delft-Rotterdam is an inclusive, supportive, and value-driven branch wherein every consultant is encouraged to uphold responsibility, given ample opportunities for professional development, and empowered to do work that will make a true difference in society.

After our very first year of services in Delft University of Technology in 2019, we have expanded our operations to Erasmus University Rotterdam, thus becoming the first multi-city branch of 180 Degrees Consulting. We will combine the business hub of Erasmus with the technical expertise of TU Delft, and our unique blend of talented student teams will provide the most excellent consulting services to our clients.

Sample of Consulting Projects

  • Hartige Samaritaan

    Area: Cultural Integration
    Year: 2019

Hartige Samaritaan is a young foundation set up in 2016, committed to promoting integration and acceptance of refugees in the Netherlands.

180 Degrees Consulting Delft-Rotterdam tackled two major fields in the operations of Hartige Samaritaan, namely Marketing and Recruitment, and Future Goals and Expansion. With a team of seven consultants, 180 DC Delft-Rotterdam aimed at helping Hartige Samaritaan to accomplish the three pillars that shape the vision of its foundation: promote the acceptance and integration between refugees and Dutch citizens, give refugees the possibility of obtaining working experience and inspire Dutch citizens to assist refugees.

After the results being delivered and implemented, Hartige Samaritaan had a better understanding of the impact of its marketing and enjoyed a more efficient strategy given its available resources. Besides that, it had clearer long-term goals that contributed towards a greater social impact of the foundation in Delft and in other cities of The Netherlands.

“The recommendations give us a clear structure to build upon."

"The presentations were of high level and very extensive.”
  • The Funding Lab

    Area: Online Fundraising
    Year: 2019

The Funding Lab is a newly developed service by International Fundraising Consultancy (Netherlands) and focuses on retrieving and retaining the Google Grant for charities. It thereby aims to tackle the challenges charities face, as these often do not have time, resources and skills to meet the conditions for using the grant.

Within 180 Degrees Consulting Delft-Rotterdam, a team of six consultants developed a Google Grant-based marketing strategy framework, which can be implemented by The Funding Lab in its client’s marketing campaign. The developed framework explored the most optimal marketing strategy for future clients of The Funding Lab using the Google Grant, and assessed the impact of the implemented strategy over time.

It was our aim at 180 DC Delft-Rotterdam to develop a ready-to-use framework that accelerates the launch of The Funding Lab within the Netherlands. With the framework in hand, The Funding Lab can gain more insight in the campaigns implemented and can improve the success of its clients using the Google Grant to the fullest.

“It was a delight to work with their team. I would love to continue working with them on this and or other projects.“

“With their work, it is now much easier to achieve our aims.”
  • Quantum Energy and Engineering

    Area: Business Plan refinement
    Year: 2020

Quantum Energy and Engineering is a Delft-based startup that seeks to provide alternative and sustainable energy sources to rural communities in developing countries. Being in the pre-seed stage of its venture lifecycle, Quantum was looking for advice on how to proceed with the expansion of its business.
Over a period of 6 months, 180 Degrees Consulting Delft-Rotterdam’s interdisciplinary team of consultants provided the founders of Quantum Energy and Engineering with a hand selected set of case studies and competitor analyses, a marketing and social media strategy to maximize outreach and community engagement and a framework for approaching and selecting appropriate funding options in the future.
With 180DC’s help, Quantum Energy and Engineering is able to accelerate its growth and continue working towards its goal of positively impacting communities within rural areas around the globe.

"For us, we feel that consulting is more than just giving advice and that's exactly what we felt while working with the 180DC team. The team understood our problems well and challenged our way of thinking. Coming from diverse backgrounds, the team educated us with new ideas for improving our startup. This new knowledge will be a key component of our future developments."
  • Yugen Kombucha

    Area: Market Expansion
    Year: 2020

Yugen Kombucha is a Belgian fast-growing social enterprise selling sustainable Kombucha tea. It has become a market leader in its home country while ensuring its products have a positive impact on society and the environment by making them fair-trade, organic, and fully recyclable. The founders needed help to expand to the Dutch market, identified as strategic for their venture.

Our team of six consultants tackled topics as wide as identifying optimum distribution channels, investigating competitors on the Europe-wide market and the legal aspects of operating in the Netherlands, exploiting to the full-potential the diversity of our consultants’ area of expertise. 180 Degrees Consulting Delft-Rotterdam’s consultants also developed an online marketing strategy so that our partner, Yugen Kombucha, could best adapt to the challenging times created by a health crisis.
The recommendations of our consultants were implemented rapidly to support Yugen Kombucha’s high ambitions for the Dutch market.
