Founded in 2016, 180 Degrees Consulting IIT Madras is committed to providing high quality and affordable consulting services to non-profit organizations, social enterprises and socially minded companies. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is India’s No. 1 engineering institution (NIRF Rankings 2018, Govt. of India). At 180 Degrees Consulting IIT Madras, we connect the untapped capabilities of students from India’s premier technical institution with the unmet needs of socially conscious organizations. Our student consultants belong to diverse backgrounds including engineering, management and social sciences. We employ a very demanding selection process to recruit our consultants. Upon selection, they undergo rigorous training and expert mentorship. Finally, they spend their time studying the challenges the clients face and formulating innovative, practical and sustainable recommendations in order to help them achieve greater social impact.

  • TagHive

    Area: Education
    Year: 2018

    TagHive is a South Korea based edtech spinoff from Samsung. With a funding from Korea International Cooperation Agency which is the Global Development arm of government of South Korea, they are working on a low cost clicker solutions for government school students in India. The objectives of TagHive's engagement with 180DC were, among other things, to benchmark technology solutions currently being used in govt schools in India, conduct a segmented analysis of the market and come up with a list of product features suitable for every school segment. Based on our extensive recommendations, the team at TagHive developed Class Saathi which was piloted in 20 schools in Varanasi in February 2019.
