About Us

Jamia Millia Islamia, an institution established at New Delhi, India in 1920 became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. In Urdu language, Jamia means ‘University’, and Millia means ‘National’.

The story of its growth from a small institution in the pre-independence India to a central university located in New Delhi—offering integrated education from nursery to research in specialized areas—is a saga of dedication, conviction and vision of a people who worked against all odds and saw it growing step by step. They “built up the Jamia Millia stone by stone and sacrifice by sacrifice,” said Sarojini Naidu, the nightingale of India.

Our Mission

We are aspiring to fill the opportunity gap that exists in Jamia Nagar. The area has 70+ NGOS that don’t have access to any form of consulting services. We believe that with our drive and top performing students and the reputable status that our university enjoys in India, we will be able to tap into this gap and help socially conscious organizations increase their impact and expand their services. With the high-quality support that our mentors and corporate partners are willing to provide we will definitely be able to achieve our vision and help change lives.

    Area: Accommodation/Shelter
    Year: 2020

    SpaceEra is an initiative by a student of Jamia Millia Islamia to provide solutions to some of the problems that the underprivileged among us face using reusable shipping containers.

    Our consultants helped SpaceEra explore various domains that it can explore and also built an effective strategy to accomplish it.
  • Global Welfare Association For Education

    Area: Community Support
    Year: 2020

    Global Welfare Association for Education is an organisation which is driven to achieve a social impact by mainly working in three domains, homeless outreach, educating children and health checkups.

    We helped them design two campaigns in order to create an impact that resonates with the residents of Jamia Nagar. We also created a Volunteer Strategy for them in order to add more active members to their organisation.
  • Alam w Mahay

    Area: Education
    Year: 2021

    Alam w Mahay is a non-profit organisation that seeks to erase illiteracy and aims to provide access to education to all the eligible children on the streets and confer them with psycho-social support for the most marginalised children in Beirut. Children of refugees from Syria and Palestine, children of migrants, and vulnerable Lebanese children have no access to schooling due to poverty and discrimination.

    Our consultants helped the non-profit create a significant social media presence, reach more volunteers, manage its network of volunteer supporters more effectively and network with psychologists to train the volunteers to take care of the refugee kids in the best way possible.
  • Mompreneurs- Lebanon

    Mompreneurs Lebanon is a leading Lebanese non-profit organisation established in 2018. From an online platform to well established Lebanese NGO, our successful community is based on basic principles dedicated to bringing the businesses of mom– entrepreneurs into recognition and developing communication, entrepreneurship, and digital marketing skills.

    180DC JMI helped in devising new strategies for Mompreneurs Lebanon so that they can revamp their working plan, operations and strategies. The recommendations were provided on social media strategy, volunteer strategy, fundraising strategy and partnership strategy.
  • JMI Help

    JMI Help under its parent organisation is a not-for-profit initiative that aims to solve the everyday problems of the students of Jamia Millia Islamia and its aspiring students/candidates.

    Our consultants helped Jamia Help in providing application feature recommendations and Growth Strategies and guided them in designing their Revenue Model.
  • Majdoors

    Area: Social Entrepreneurship (for-profit)
    Year: 2021

    Majdoors is a socio-economic upliftment project aimed at empowering workers from the unorganized sector of our economy. Majdoors is a web-based platform that bridges the gap between worker and client, connects them directly on its platform.

    We provided consulting services related to application launch and volunteering strategy so that Majdoors can increase its outreach and remove the problem of lack of networking among the students of architecture, interior designing, construction and civil engineering and other professionals.
  • Sewan Foods

    Year: 2021

    Sewan Foods is building India’s largest chain of food canteens, with a mission to make quality food accessible for the public. Its services include serving value for money meals with authentic regional flavors to its customers through a network of market, institutional and mobile canteens.

    We are assisting this social business with business development strategies.
  • Human Rights Advocacy and Research Foundation

    Area: Sustainable Development and Good Governance

    HRF leads its endeavours in an inclusive, consultative and participatory manner. Their mission is committed to the eradication of all forms of discrimination against women, children, Dalits, the working class etc. HRF recognises a gap between the good social intentions of Indian government policy and their implementations and serves to highlight and mitigate these shortcomings.

    Our team of consultants is assisting HRF in developing strategy to eradicate manual scavenging (Sanitation Work) and to relocate individuals into better jobs.
  • Cancer Research Malaysia (CRM)

    Cancer Research Malaysia (CRM) is
    an independent and non profit cancer research organisation based in Malaysia. Funded by donations and research grants, they conduct research on niche cancers that are more prevalent amongst Asian people. Operating from the core of saving lives through impactful research in Asians, CRM also seeks to eradicate the stigma around cancer, converting the big C to a small c, by developing innovative prevention, detection, treatment, and management methods to improve overall survival rates in both Asia and Malaysia.

    CRM are looking to launch a fundraising campaign that involves giving willing participants a piggy bank which is filled up over time and then collected to support the activities that CRM engages in.
  • Lucknow Farmers Market (LFM)

    Area: Supporting Rural Farmers
    Year: 2021

    LFM was established in 2015 with the aim of supporting rural farmers with the sale of their products alongside other environmentally friendly services They aim to build a green ethos across India and currently work with a network of over 150 farmers, artisans and entrepreneurs. Build a community that believes in the green ethos of ‘Eat Local Seasonal Reuse Recycle Don’t discard Resell Don’t waste and Live Sustainably!

    LFM want to use technology to create a more efficient supply and distribution process and identify further efficiencies. Develop a governance structure to help onboard new team members to fulfil the management of key organisation areas.
  • Great Heart Charity (GHC)

    GHC aims to provide both financial and emotional aid in a supportive manner which assists their beneficiaries and allows them to become self sustaining.

    GHC would like to reengineer their processes so they may begin to support beneficiaries in becoming self sustained.

    "Uneako is an amalgamation of “unique and “eco” meaning that we provide eco-friendly and sustainable products in never seen before avatar.
    With our motto “sharing sustainable happiness”, we strive to curb the environmental threats of climate change and plastic pollution by introducing an exclusive innovative range of climate positive product solutions, which are made using various organic, natural, industrial waste and biodegradable materials.
    Alongside we are also trying to support the 5 marginalized communities of our society by employing them to heart craft our products."
