The University of Melbourne branch was honoured to receive 180DC's highest accolade in 2020 - the Top Overall Branch in the World. In partnership with leading industry consultancies, we provide our students with exclusive professional training, career development and mentorship opportunities, including our Consultant Development Program (BCG & McKinsey), Career Mentoring Program, Case Preparation Workshops, Industry Networking Events, Panels focusing on Careers in Social Impact, Women in Consulting and more.

Consultant Development Program

Our Consultant Development Program, exclusive to consultants, includes 3 main development streams: First, all consultants receive professional training from leading consultancies such as BCG and McKinsey. For those interested in consulting, or looking to discover what it is all about, these training sessions provide you with invaluable insight and takeaways from the most brilliant minds in the industry. Second, we hold fortnightly branch meetings where we focus on internship and graduate applications, career advice, panel discussions, etc. and invite special guests to talk about their experiences. Third, our career mentoring program matches our members with industry consultants according to their career interests and aspirations. Additionally, all project teams also have a project ‘mentor’ - a professional consultant working at one of our partners - who provides strategic guidance for our deliverables.

As a 180DC consultant, you will help to improve education, reduce homelessness and inequality, support mental health, increase social support programs for those who need it most and more. Your diverse team will work together to develop creative, effective and measurable strategies tailored to meet the needs of your assigned not-for-profit. Access to Networking and Panel Events with Industry Leaders

Our branch offers opportunities to broaden your exposure to industry and to catalyse your career development. We regularly host networking events, as well as panel discussions with featured keynote speakers and panel guests focusing on topics including careers in social impact, women in consulting, and more.
