180 Degrees Consulting was founded at The University of Sydney (USYD) in 2007. As the founding branch driven by 120 innovative, passionate and socially-minded consultants and project leaders, we help 14 non-for-profits expand their social impact each semester. We connect the untapped capabilities of university students with unmet needs of socially conscious organisations, who then work in teams to spend the semester researching and preparing innovative, practical, sustainable and quality recommendations to overcome challenges our clients face and make a tangible impact.
We believe in nurturing the social impact leaders of tomorrow, and the best way to do that is by diving head first and solving real problems for real clients and unlocking their potential and expanding yours.
You get to experience the positive impact you have on your clients and the community at large by volunteering your time and expertise for good. We put purpose into practice, and there’s nothing more rewarding than that.
180DC University of Sydney exposes you to people from different cultural and academic backgrounds, enabling you to grow holistically and create connections you wouldn’t have otherwise.
Throughout your 180DC journey, you will interact with consultants from our amazing sponsors and learn firsthand the ins and outs of the consulting industry while building a solid network.
