Cancer Research Malaysia (CRM) is an independent and non profit cancer research organisation based in Malaysia. Funded by donations and research grants, they conduct research on niche cancers that are more prevalent amongst Asian people. Operating from the core of saving lives through impactful research in Asians, CRM also seeks to eradicate the stigma around cancer, converting the big C to a small c, by developing innovative prevention, detection, treatment, and management methods to improve overall survival rates in both Asia and Malaysia. CRM wanted help with the Volunteer Recruitment and Management and Fundraising Strategy.
CRM were looking to launch a fundraising campaign that involves giving willing participants a piggy bank which is filled up over time and then collected to support the activities that CRM engages in. Our consultants delivered a detailed Volunteer Recruitment and Management and Fundraising Strategy. Additionally they provided Social Media Strategy and proposed a Partnership Model as handouts.
The volunteer landscape research helped the client to rejuvenate their volunteer base. The handouts too proved helpful as the social media reach and engagement increased by 20% and the project partnered successfully with the University of Nottingham and University of Malaya, as proposed.
