Global Welfare Association (GLOWA), a counter trafficking NGO based in Bamenda, Cameroon works through programs to identify trafficking scams, educate communities, lobby policy makers and deliver rehabilitation programs to victims of trafficking & war in Cameroon. The NGO was facing difficulties in identifying the core wings of operations to create a resource allocation and mobilization systems to tackle deficiency and optimization problems with respect to the activities performed by the NGO.
The identified needs led to the creation of a detailed organizational chart outlining the functional divisions and the resources utilized at constituent processes. As part of this a custom template for each function identified was made to serve as a reference document to understand channels of utilization, outline organizational capacity and view interlinked documents outlining strategies to meet deficiency of resources. To conclude specific strategies, a partnership document was prepared having the name, purpose, advantages and drawbacks of each identified partner.
The resource mobilization project ensured that we provided GLOWA great clarity on the functional structure and an optimum resource mapping framework for all activities including the management of a rehabilitation centre with $600000 in dedicated donor support. GLOWA has special consultative status with UN ECOSOC and the project has led to proper rehabilitation and better livelihood for hundreds of children.
