Global Public Relations Specialist

The Global Public Relations Specialist is responsible for amplifying the 180 Degrees Consulting brand across international media and platforms. This role drives external visibility by securing coverage through media outlets, podcasts, social impact platforms, and global events.

Through strategic storytelling and thought leadership, the Specialist showcases 180DC's impact, strengthens its reputation, and increases awareness among audiences worldwide. The role helps position 180DC as a leading global non-profit consultancy, ensuring our achievements and values resonate beyond our own channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement public relations initiatives that expand 180DC's global profile.
  • Increase visibility across media outlets, podcasts, conferences, and social impact platforms.
  • Source stories highlighting the achievements of branches, consultants, clients, and partners.
  • Write and edit news stories, feature articles, interviews, and impact pieces.
  • Provide editorial oversight to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with 180DC's mission.
  • Lead the development of the annual Impact Report.

Global Business Development Specialist

The Global Business Development Specialist is an integral position within 180 Degrees Consulting as they are responsible for securing projects and contributions for the network of our 180 Degrees branches. Working with clients across the world, the position requires strong communication and negotiation skills, the ability to work with different cultures and to have a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and increase financial sustainability for 180 Degrees as a whole, through global client acquisitions and transactions
  • Develop and execute a lead generation strategy; positioning 180 Degrees to work with larger social sector clients and achieve financial contribution targets
  • Work and negotiate with potential clients to conduct consulting project scoping and secure consulting engagements with an agreed financial contribution
  • Develop 180 Degrees’ business strategy to increase financial sustainability and form high-level strategic decisions
  • Identify changes to the client acquisition process to improve efficiency and transparency across the team and the whole GLT
  • Liaise with the Global Operations Team and 180 Degrees Branch Executives to match consulting projects to branches. Therefore, delivering the highest quality consulting for our clients and meeting their needs and expectations

Global Strategic Partnerships Specialist

The Global Strategic Partnerships Specialist will drive 180 Degrees Consulting’s future growth by identifying new private, public and social sector organizations that can support 180 Degrees Consulting financially and/or strategically and by managing the expansion of the existing global partnerships. The position requires someone who is capable of identifying, pitching and securing partnerships/sponsorships with large organizations, has strong communication and negotiation skills, the ability to work with different cultures and to have a hands-on approach

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, negotiate and develop strategic partnerships with private, public and social sector organizations (e.g. corporates, foundations etc.) that help 180 Degrees Consulting achieve its strategic goals and diversify its revenue streams
  • Responsible for managing, retaining and growing the existing global partnerships of 180 Degrees
  • Identify and articulate the unique value proposition of 180 Degrees that can be utilized to attract new partners and sponsors
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to drive growth and position 180 Degrees Consulting as a leader in our field
  • Draft partnership and sponsorship proposals that consider the diverse needs of potential partners/sponsors of 180 Degrees

Global Fundraising Specialist

The Global Fundraising Specialist supports the CEO Office more broadly the GLT in securing sustainable, multi-year funding to scale 180DC’s global impact. The role is responsible for executing the fundraising strategy aligned with organisational strategic objectives. The Specialist positions 180DC as a scalable  leadership development engine for the social sector, translating strategic initiatives into compelling investment cases. Working closely with GLT teams and the Board of Directors, they ensure funding priorities are tightly integrated with operational roadmaps. The role will report to the Chief of Staff as part of the CEO office portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute a global fundraising strategy aligned with priority investment areas (e.g., branch expansion, learning opportunities, etc.)
  • Partner with the CEO and Board of Directors to cultivate, manage, and close high-value donor relationships across an array of funder profiles
  • Translate 180DC initiatives into compelling investment cases demonstrating scalability and measurable impact across youth leadership and social sector strengthening
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with GLT teams to align funding asks with program roadmaps, operational capacity, and long-term sustainability objectives
  • Lead update of fundraising and tracking material, incl. pitch decks, donor database, fundraising KPIs

Mandatory Attributes

  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience in fundraising, preferably within an NGO, social enterprise, consulting, or early-stage organisation

Global Marketing & Communications Specialist

The Global Marketing and Communications Specialist supports the planning and execution of 180 Degrees Consulting's global marketing, social media, and content strategy. This role develops brand resources and marketing initiatives that communicate 180DC's impact to consultants, clients, and branches worldwide.

Combining creativity with data-driven decision-making, the Specialist builds meaningful connections with internal and external audiences while fostering pride and engagement across 180DC's global network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design visual content aligned with 180DC's brand identity and guidelines.
  • Lead the ideation and execution of campaigns across 180DC's social channels, engaging audiences of over 8,000 Instagram followers and 90,000 LinkedIn followers.
  • Brainstorm and develop innovative content ideas that generate engagement and measurable results.
  • Edit short-form videos for TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram Reels.
  • Collaborate with branches to showcase impact and achievements across social media.
  • Create content for websites, newsletters, and social channels.
  • Plan and deliver marketing campaigns aligned with organisational goals.
  • Monitor performance using marketing analytics tools, including Meta and Instagram Analytics, to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Identify audience insights to optimise future campaigns and strengthen engagement.

Global Strategic Programs Specialist

The Global Strategic Programs Specialists support branches and GLT to achieve operational excellence. They provide strategic and operational support to branches through designing and implementing global programs such as the annual Global Awards, Global Case Competition and the regional summits (AMER, EMEA and APAC). The Global Awards and Global Case Competition unite 180+ branches and teams worldwide, with 2000+ participants collaborating across geographies. Together, these initiatives advance 180DC’s mission to cultivate the next generation of impact-driven leaders, by enabling participants to apply their skills toward building scalable, sustainable solutions for social change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement global programs to enhance cross-continental collaboration and community impact within the 180DC community and beyond
  • Organize and develop Global Awards, Global Case Competition and Regional Summits
  • Be the coach and contact person for every program driven and owned by you
  • Action feedback from branches and evaluators to improve Global Awards process year on year
  • Focus on the learnings coming through each program and create impact reports 
  • Collaborate across GLT teams to deliver cross-functional initiatives (such as automation of processes for Global Awards, using regional summits to foster branch growth and new partnerships)

Global Student Platform Specialist

The Student Platform Specialist supports the CEO Office and more broadly the GLT in designing, launching, and scaling 180DC’s Global Student Platform. The Specialist is responsible for translating the organisation’s strategic vision into a functional, scalable, and user-centric MVP and collaborating with external providers to develop a platform that strengthens global connectivity and networking opportunities, streamlines communication, and unlocks career pathways for 10,000+ members worldwide. The role reports to the Chief of Staff as part of the CEO portfolio special initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with 180DC volunteers in defining platform strategy, MVP scoping, governance, and build model recommendation
  • Manage development across phases, coordinating internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure quality, timelines, and budget adherence
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with GLT teams to integrate the Platform with programs, L&D offering, communications, partnerships, and fundraising initiatives
  • Lead pilot implementation, change management, and phased global rollout timeline and execution
  • Define KPIs for performance monitoring

Mandatory Attributes

  • Minimum 1 year experience in product, platform, or digital project delivery, preferably in a startup, NGO, consulting, or fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience translating strategy into execution, including defining MVP scope, product requirements and prioritizing features

Operations

Global Operations Specialist

The Global Operations Specialists support branches and GLT to achieve operational excellence and increase their social impact. They provide strategic and operational support to branches on a regional basis: Asia Pacific (APAC), Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) or Americas (AMER).  (APAC, EMEA, AMER) and support regional programs (run by the Global Programs team). They also provide cross-functional support to GLT teams that require collaboration with branches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional level strategies in collaboration with your regional team
  • Support branches in developing their strategies and improving operations
  • Be the contact person for branch executives for any operational questions
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational excellence (eg. compliance) within the GLT and branches
  • Collaborate across GLT teams to deliver cross-functional initiatives (such as Branch Performance Framework, New System Roll-out, Consultant Exchange Program and more!)
  • Organise 180 DC regional events like case competitions and regional meet-ups

Mandatory Attributes

IT & Digital

Global IT & Digital Specialist

The Global Information Technology and Digital Specialist is responsible for developing, executing and supporting the technological activities and infrastructure of 180 Degrees Consulting. The role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to provide creative, innovative and cost-effective solutions to complex technical problems. The IT team enacts ongoing IT maintenance and acts as a point of support to the GLT and our network of branches. The Global Information Technology and Digital Specialist will support ongoing delivery of a new suite of systems and applications to replace the existing IT infrastructure as part of our global digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with GLT teams on desired systems functionality, and generate rational development plans for these improvements based on 180 Degrees’ organizational strategy and priorities
  • Plan, develop and roll out functionality improvements, with an emphasis on human centered/service design and improving the user experience
  • Maintain and improve existing IT infrastructure in accordance with organisational requirements
  • Assist in the creation of documentation and user-guides for IT infrastructure usage at a branch and GLT level
  • Provide technical support to 180 Degrees branches
  • Act as a product manager for key technology platforms
  • Depending on the team needs, you will focus on certain workstream(s)

Desired Attributes

  • Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB
  • Knowledge of system/enterprise architecture principles and frameworks
  • Proficiency with Javascript, Python or HTML (or a willingness to learn quickly)

Global Data and Insights Specialist

The Global Data & Insights Specialists collate data insights and collaborate with other GLT teams to implement resulting actions. The Global Data & Insights Specialists build and maintain the GLT data infrastructure to capture and analyse data on branch performance and other 180 Degrees Consulting key metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generating insights from data and translating them into workable action
  • Investigating data sources to inform decision making and additionally improve data outcomes
  • Building and maintaining data infrastructure, data cleansing, and performing data analytics
  • Identify opportunities to improve how and what data is collected within the GLT, branches and at 180 Degrees as a whole
  • Collaborate across GLT teams to deliver cross-functional initiatives

Global Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist

The Global L&D Specialist is responsible for improving the effectiveness of branch operations, and the quality of consulting advice we deliver to clients worldwide. You will be responsible for improving the effectiveness of branch operations of 180+ branches and/or the quality of consulting projects that 180 Degrees provides to non-profits world-wide. 

Working closely with branches and the GLT, we strive to create resources that guide, upskill and inspire the 180 Degrees Consulting global network. We analyse and understand the learning needs of 180 Degrees Consulting by identifying key issues and opportunities to improve the capability of our people. We launch solutions through various channels such as the knowledge resource library, in order to scale our work across 180 Degrees Consulting globally and ensure all of our work has an impact. 

This position presents an opportunity to engage in knowledge management that will impact 180+ branches and nonprofits as well as thousands of consultants each year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for improving the effectiveness of branch operations and/or the quality of consulting projects that 180 Degrees provides to non-profits world-wide 
  • Assess the learning needs of branch executives, consultants and project leaders, and design learning curriculums & resources that build their capability
  • Develop materials (e.g. videos, slides, templates, tools) to support the upskilling of the 180 Degrees network on topics like: consulting methodologies; specific project types; analytics tools and frameworks; and functional branch processes (e.g. finance, sponsorship, recruitment, governance)
  • Plan, deliver and improve 180 Degrees’ learning management system; embed resources on our Consulting Resource Porta

Mandatory Attributes

  • Prior involvement as a 180 Degrees Consultant or Branch Executive or similar (student) consultant experience.

Global People and Culture Specialist

The Global People and Culture Specialist will join the People and Culture team that is responsible for the recruitment, retention, development, and engagement of the Global Leadership Team of 180 Degrees Consulting. This individual will be responsible for developing and running the recruitment processes to ensure that the GLT always has the right people in the right roles as well as work on DEI, Leadership Development, Engagement, and Brand Awareness initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing recruitment strategies in alignment with the objectives of 180DC by identifying hiring news and new strategies for talent acquisition.
  • Screening all applications, conducting or allocating interviews of shortlisted applicants, and overseeing the interview process.
  • Conducting headhunting to insource top-tier candidates and support meeting all team’s recruitment requests.
  • Developing and executing Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership Development, Engagement, and Learning and Development initiatives
  • Developing workspace guidelines and an organisation-wide performance management system.
  • Liaising with the Marketing team to develop and implement advertising strategies for sourcing talent.
  • Onboarding of new GLT members and offboarding outgoing members.

Desirable Attributes

  • Prior experience with recruitment, headhunting and/or 180 Degrees is desirable, although not essential.

Global Legal Coordination Specialist

The Global Legal Coordination Specialist is responsible for championing legal awareness and supporting legal risk management for 180 Degrees Consulting. In this role, Specialists manage and improve key legal documents and work with branch executives to guide resolution of legal challenges related to branch establishment, client engagements, and sponsorship arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve existing legal documents, working with pro bono legal partners to ensure documents are fit for purpose
  • Assist in the creation of documentation and guides for legal awareness and risk management, educating branch executives and GLT members to increase legal prudence and compliance
  • Provide guidance to 180 Degrees branches and GLT in resolving legal challenges related to various legal matters across the organisation
  • Note: Although in this role you will be working on a range of legal related issues (and helping to facilitate their resolution) you will not be responsible for giving any legal or other professional advice
  • Depending on the team needs, you will focus on certain workstream(s)

Desired Attributes

  • Studying a law degree or early experience (1-2 years) as a lawyer, preferably in corporate, contract, tax or IP law
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Resourceful and aware, able to identify legal risks and call out concerns and considerations to leaders

Time Required

  • This role is voluntary, with a significant degree of flexibility in how and when you allocate time during the week
  • You must be able to commit at least 7-10 hours per week, including weekly team meetings and a bi-monthly GLT-wide meeting

Global Finance Specialist

The Global Finance Specialist is responsible for managing the financial systems used to collect financial contributions from clients, and ensuring all financial reporting and compliance obligations are met. This role will suit someone with experience and interest in accounting, finance, consulting, business development, and/or fundraising.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy.
  • Conduct financial analysis to assess the financial health of the organization, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with a variety of regulatory bodies across different jurisdictions.
  • Manage partnership relationships and grant applications, and seek out new strategic partnerships across the regions in which 180 Degrees operates.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • The ability to work independently in a virtual environment as part of a global team towards shared goals.
  • High levels of integrity, with impeccable personal and professional ethical standards.
  • Highly motivated team player, with a “roll-up your sleeves” approach.
  • Previous experience in accounting, finance, corporate business or consulting.

Desired Qualifications

  • Detail oriented, with reasonable quantitative skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, and solve problems in a structured manner.
  • Proficient in Excel, any accounting software a plus.
  • Prior involvement as a 180 Degrees Consultant or Branch Executive or similar (student) consultant experience.
