Reflections from Anushka Sharma, Head of Research at 180 Degrees Consulting Hansraj
The bustling city of Delhi recently played host to a remarkable gathering, as the Global Leadership Team (GLT) at 180DC organized the much-anticipated Delhi Summit, hosted by 180DC Hansraj. The Delhi Summit served as a platform to bring together executives from various Delhi branches, providing them an opportunity to share insights into their work, experiences, projects, and initiatives. At the same time, attendees benefited from important updates and announcements shared by the GLT. The summit welcomed the GLT and executives of over 18 Delhi branches of 180DC, together on one platform to explore better collaboration.
The summit kicked off with branch introductions, where various 180DC branches showcased their most impactful initiatives and innovative projects driving change. This segment provided a glimpse into the diverse strategies and achievements shaping the global 180DC community. Participants also competed in an engaging quiz on 180DC, spotlighting the organization’s legacy and inspiring a dynamic exchange of ideas that set the stage for a productive day ahead.
As the day progressed, the GLT gave thorough updates and presented initiatives such as the Future Leaders Program. The Future Leaders Program is a flagship scholarship project offered by 180DC in which 18 selected students will undergo a 9 month training to become social impact leaders. Next, the gathering connected online with 180DC’s CEO, Chris Garner. His address shed light on the organization’s strategic direction and upcoming projects while he also appreciated the attending branches for the wonderful progress that they have made across the country.
One of the most enriching segments of the summit was the Idea Generation Workshop. Executives from various branches brainstormed innovative ideas for potential new projects and initiatives undertaken by 180DC. The teams presented new avenues for cross branch collaborations and events while also focusing on better evaluation of each branch’s performance. The workshop sparked creative thinking and encouraged collaboration across branches, setting the stage for fresh and exciting initiatives within 180DC.
After the workshop, attendees shared their ideas and engaged in discussions to further refine and develop these concepts. This session was characterized by enthusiastic exchanges and constructive feedback, showcasing the group's shared dedication to enhancing 180DC's impact.
The day concluded with closing remarks and lots of photo opportunities. To wrap up the summit on a high note, everyone gathered for a get-together at Socials, Civil Lines. This gathering provided a chance for further bonding and celebration, ending a day full of meaningful conversations and productive teamwork on a fun-filled note.
The Delhi Summit truly showcased the strength and unity of 180DC’s global network. By highlighting the organization’s dedication to innovation and collaboration, it reinforced the commitment to driving impactful change. With plans to expand partnerships, enhance cross-branch collaboration, and implement new strategies discussed during the summit, 180DC is poised to turn these ambitions into tangible outcomes, paving the way for a transformative future.
